Comment:
this 3-notch outing is a fine example of how field recording sounds
are treated in a way to chime like coming from an eerie street. It
gravitates toward a rail station which does mean one can hear
metallic ghosts and at the same time epic industrial echoes which
will result in the statement this music is uncannily beautiful and
ennobling. And purgative by any means. It can be considered life
around us we used to encounter every day, however, being strongly
magnified and thereafter amplified. Most of us can recognise the
charm of Minecraft, this 50 minutes and a bit more can be considered
a counterpart of it in sounds in some sense. In some sense with
certain reservations because
East
By Rail is less artificial because this sound art issue
comes directly from an interface where life and observation and
production are mixed up with one another. You can perceive rough
sonic figures being juxtaposed to more fine sonic dimensions. Indeed,
similarly to Minecraft it is highly playful which used to resonate
with the surrounding sounds. While listening to it you should be
aware of the fact which sound comes from the album and which one
comes through a window or wall of your apartment. One of the most
outstanding releases in 2017 coming from Prague, the Czech Republic.
