Comment: these 4 pieces spreaded out over 18 minutes do represent a subtle blend of chiptune-ish electronic templates and dynamic dance-appealed propulsions and even few hip-hop endeavors. The outlet is as grainy and gritty as a common, acid-immersed, sawtooth-shaped chipbreak album used to be. In a word, it is in the middle of the genre and place, however, no hurting your backbone.

Comment: It is a luscious bunch of chipbreaks and moody motives accentuated by overdriving noises and sonic effects. More concretely, there are some tracks which do showcase intriguing blends of free jazz-esque envelopes and sawtooth-alike rhythm shapes.

Comment: Knife City is the nom de plume for Luke Silas who used to fuse essentially catchy rhythm patterns with 8-bit/chiptune/chipbreak templates. There are up a handful of notches which provide a kind of alternative for your usual imagination about dance music. More profoundly, it showcases short pace cycle tendencies and offhand frequencies regarding all of that which used to be produced with the help of Gameboy consoles and vintage programmes-plugins. On the other side, it is psychedelic and acute making your feel good. In any cases, Just Trash is the outstanding track on the album.

Comment: there are represented 7 joyful yet extraordinary ditties because the songs are half indie-inflected ones and half 8-bit/bitpop/chiptune appearances by Dan McLay from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Computer Savvy is his sophomore album, a follow-up to Pamplemousse (2009, Pause) His captivating vocal timbre - truly longing vocal manner (reminiscent a little bit of Panda Bear) is a resonating counterpoint to sawtooth-shaped beats and angular ridges and abrasive drones. There are a lot of places either being obviously influenced by the aesthetics of the chillwave/glo-fi movement. On the other side, Expelling Bee is an instance of funk grooves - arrghhh, actually I am lacking words to describe the blissfulness and suggestiveness present at the ending part of it. Cluck takes on electro/breakcore-driven dance rock gears. Once again, the whole is fabulous and idiosyncratic. In a word, McLay is a superman who should throne Billboard or something like that - to turn mediocre into good.

Comment: synth pop/New Wave meets tracker/chiptune/8-bit music. Propulsive synth whiffs are supplemented with sawtooth-alike sonic fringes and dreamily glistening vocal supplies over it. By the new wave-ish side this set of 5 tracks reminds a little of David Sylvian`s group Japan, and Jef Barbara.

Philip Linde (aka stijl) on kahtlemata üks tuntumaid, kes on jõudnud oma (vähemalt) neljanda reliisini. 2008. aastal üllitatud "Output" on saanud väärika, 5-realise järje. Helid on genereeritud Milkytracker`i ja süntesaatoritega. Psühhedeelsed puurivad, justkui ajel liuglevad happekäigud, atmosfäärilised kihistused, kobrutav süntpopp, mõõdukas electro/breakcore/chipbreak tekitavad meeldivaid assotsiatsioone. Mõned rütmivahemikud kõlavad kui mängu-Kraftwerk. Kuid heli tehniline iseloom ning psühhedeelialink seob Linder`i eelkõige Bliss`i ja Ashbrg`iga.
