Hanging Freud – No Body Allowed (2015)
Myhand.Thanx/Bandcamp
Post-punk Gothic pop Neoclassical Electronic Coldwave Art pop
Tõepoolest, kui hästi lauljatari sugereerivus tungib kunati kuulajale sügavale hinge (nt "It's Time", "Porch"). Olemuslikult klassika, mis paraku vajab veel laiemalt avastamist.

We Are All Slaves - You Must Be Stuck Into Some Complications (2015)
/Avant-garde, Noise, Psycho-acoustic,
Non-music, Experimentalism, Freeformfreakout/
Comment:
my previous experiences with the discography of the French imprint Myhand.Thanx Records were being related to post-punk-ish yet vanguard sonic forms.
However, it was great surprise of mine to find out something totally different.
The Serbian Filip Stojiljkovic`s 6-track issue is a source at listening to it
you must be stuck into complications. The outing starts off with an intense
torrent of harsh noise which later will have dissolved into less
straightforward yet even more provoking sonic experiments. FS channels his
noise music into more complicated, signal-like appearances and even providing
rhythmic threads. Additionally, you can listen to elliptic gurgling being
interwoven with vowel layers thereby conjuring fucked-up sensations and frantic
mental states. The aesthetic of coverprint of the EP is blurred in the way of reminding
of the one by Keith Bowsza aka Minòy, the cultish US-based noisenik and artist
(1951-2010) whose experiments with photography were laid down in a similar way.

ThOmas.W - bru:t (2014)
/Neofolk, Industrial rock,
No Wave, Experimental rock/
Comment: these 6 tracks are
the result of a noisy improvisation session by an artist called ThOmas.W. The
outing gets right due to melting together cold folk vocals, noisy rock snippets
and industrial segments. Strident expressions and reverie drenched moments are
finely balanced and juxtaposed to create incisive contrasts and provoking
pictures in thought. Although the issue chimes frequently in doleful and sad
way it is a kind of irritating and even perverse one. If you like such combos
as Death In June, Einstürzende Neubauten, Boyd Rice this whole is thought for
you. The issue is a part of the excellent borderline punk imprint Myhand.Thanx
Records.

Zoomonk & Zelig - On Time (2012)
9.6
/Art punk, Drone rock, Avant-industrial, No Wave, Avant-rock, Experimental rock, Avant-punk, Noise rock/
Comment: what will be happened when the Finns Zelig Concrete (vocals & lyrics), and Petri Parkkali (guitar, drum machine, syntheziser, stylophone beatbox) join their hands and forces? Their 6-track collaborative album is full of anxiety filled post-punk/No Wave loaded visions and frantic (proto-)industrial mayhems. Indeed, their sound resembles the early days of krautrock, old school industrial groups and more peripheral post-punk esque acts at the ending part of the 70s and at the beginning of the 80s. More closely, it does mean the tracks embrace many experiments with unusual sounds of electronica, provoking synth effects, abrasive guitar representations, Zelig`s haunted singing and restlessly writhing rhythm sections. By the way, Parkkali has hinted of being influenced by the likes of Suicide, Hungry Ghosts, 39 Clocks, Teiji Ito, Neu!, Moondog, Exotica, DNA. I would add such groups as Einstürzende Neubauten, The Fall, and Faust either. The duo is assisted by some guest musicians like Bird Man (bass), Thomas Schärer (Piano & Mellotron at Bunny & Turtle). Great music by any means which is issued on Myhand.Thanx Records, the main discovery of mine among the imprints in the recent months.

Mh.t031 - theirhands.thanx#1 (2013)
9.8
/Psych-rock, Avant-garde, Art punk, Experimentalism, Dream folk, Noise, Sound art, No Wave, Experimental electronica, Abstract, Acousmatics/
Comment: this clump of 7 tracks is a formidable yet entertaining insight into the profound world of Myhand.Thanx Records. There are represented such artists as mutantbeatniks, Jeremy Gluck and Dave Fuglewizc, Zoomonk, Hangin Freud, ThOmas.W, Giles Morris, and Jacques de Villiers. Stylistically the whole extends from contained, concrete sound infiltrated ambient progressions and dreamy, otherworldly folk appearances to more highfaluting psych-rock and avant-punk/No Wave tinged noises, malignant but somewhat subdued dark ambient contemplations and acute but poignant electronic experiments charting and embedding frantic turns and wraparounds, exalting frequency based bombings, and a huge array of sonic manipulations into the mix. In a nutshell, it is a tremendous but way too short-running miscellany. It is mandatory for everyone who used to think she/he is keen to experimental music.
