Ancient Astronaut – Through the Tunnel of Love (2019)

  • Electronic music
  • Space music
  • Kosmische Musik
  • Chilltronica

Comment: there are up a bunch of questions. Did ancient astronauts exist or not? Did they visit our planet or not? Did they help us building huge objects like pyramids? Did they foster us with their know-how? Are they still here by supervising us with intention not allowing us destroy our divine planet? Are they ready to intervene as soon as possible after the faintest step is done to trigger the irreversible apocalypse (little apocalypses used to happen every day around us)? Earth is also a part of the huge cosmic village so everyone living within it should have very responsibility for defending it. Analogously parents have to supervise their children from harming themselves because as Jesus turned to Lord by saying they do not know what they are doing regarding adults though. Musically it is a blissful, I would like to say, a praiseful journey through tremendous, unfathomable horizons within Outer space. Yeah, it can be compared to Tangerine Dream's sound and the so-called Berlin School in general yet ultimately the fact says way too little about the album. So listen and enjoy this organic mode of warm synthesised chords and slightly propulsive cadences. Those static moments and dynamic spans being frequently inseparably intertwined with one another do constitute an extraordinary state of mind. The enchanting 12-notch outing is a bit in the discography of Silent Flow.

Twilight Kamikaze – A Drive with Elise (2018)

  • Post-disco
  • Alternative dance
  • Electro pop
  • Electronic music
  • Experimental electro
  • Industrial electro

Comment: first of all, this 3-notch outing starts off with the favourite format of electro for me - sultry rhythmic patterns coated with tight synthesiser-induced layers atop. Later on, the course used to turn a little bit by incorporating more ominous sonic effects and by coming near to a more static and restrained yet experimental approach. However, the final track This Void Inside used to successfully merge the tendencies of the first and the second parts of the self-titled track. It is highly galvanized and a bit shifted in its rhythmic work while manipulating with some sort of black matter to build up the result. As if drawing some rhythmic patterns from the Detroit electro scene to build it up on an (post)-industrial template. Yeah, it is convincing in a highly hypnotic way. The astounding issue is a part of the discography of Silent Flow. One of my favourite things with regard to the rhythmic patterns in 2018.

The Kinoslav Studio Orchestra - ICON (2014)

/Neoclassical, Crossover, Ambient, Leftfield, Post industrial, Film noir, Gothic, Dark wave, Experimentalism, Avant-garde, Drone, Electronic/

Comment:  one is sure as shooting that The Kinoslav Studio Orchestra`s debut album pleases my ears thoroughly. However, it does not mean that all is friendly, serene and sunshiny sonorously on it. On the contrary, throughout the most of its course the US-based project conjures up melancholic and sombre landscapes which are punctuated by slowed down beats, sad cello layering, whimsical bagpipe-alike drones and eerie and manipulated electronics atop or in the midst of. Infrequently some blissful, spaced-out glimpses are to ascend, swirl and change their phases. Many sounds represented over there are remarkably processed and suppressed into the forms of otherworldly life which used to flicker and flutter. And stylistically the issue is implacable because of spitting at possibility to have the range of a certain style. The album was produced on two studios in Illinois and Iowa.

Mahi Bukimi The Eclipse Of Planets Beauty (Silent Flow)

Põhijoontes kompab teos downtempo, chillout`i, psühhedeelia, new age`i ja ambientmuusika ristteel, kinnitades sugulust seesuguste artistidega nagu David Schombert, EugeneKha, Naono, Orange Crush. Ning tiitel - "The Eclipse Of Planets Beauty" - väärib kindlasti oma nime, kuivõrd elektrooniliste trillerduste ja orkestratsioonide vahelt imbub meeleolukat eepilisust.
