Quattroannidiversi – ViVeriVive (2015)

/Art rock, Indie rock, Singer-songwriter, Indie folk, Alternative pop, Post-punk/

Comment: ViVeriVive is an Italian record label who has recommended many Italian artists with disparate aesthetic interests and impulses to the world. However, this compilation of seven tracks by seven musical projects is more guitar and drum-heavy and many artists on it used to draw influences from seminal art punk, post-punk, and No Wave scenes. On the other side, some tracks on it are more restrained and folk-inclined ones. It is thought-provoking music performed in Italian. The are such artists as Zinalbo, Faro, Gio Fattoruso, Reazione Acustica, Rudolfo Toè, Il Nostro Tempo Violento, and Lullabier.

Il Nostro Tempo Violento - Fuori La Tempesta (2014)

/Singer-songwriter, Folk indie, Alt-folk, Americana, Indie folk/

Comment: behind this pseudonym hides himself Matteo Micheletti from Siena, Italy. He is also being known as Emme issuing the album Eravamo Come Non Saremo Piu' under ViVeriVeve in 2012. However, the recent issue is a decent example of how to write catchy songs with obvious Americana influences (though the lyrics are presented in Italian). Micheletti exploits different templates of song-writing extending from ballad makers to more psychedelic insights and even slightly spaced-out glimpses. Especially great used to be those harmonica snippets which are mixed up with predominating guitar patterns.

Emme - Eravamo Come Non Saremo Piu' (2012)

/Alt-folk, Dream folk, Organic electronica, Singer-songwriter, Experimental folk, Indie folk, Art folk/

Comment: there are up a bunch of sophisticated folk songs by Matteo Micheletti from Italy who offers up acoustic, string-based layers which are densely spiced up with the undercurrents of sonic effects (predominantly reverse effects) and the splinters of organic electronics. All the ditties are sung in Italian being produced and accomplished as dreamy and longing and bucolic ones. Micheletti as an artist and singer-songwriter can be compared with the likes of Artwood, Barbagallo, Nick Rivera, Winstonmcnamara, and Menion all the artists originating from the Apennine peninsula.

Lullabier - The Italian leaving EP (2012)

/Shoegaze, Dream pop, Singer-songwriter, Slowcore, Experimental indie, Alternative/

Comment
: Lullabier is Andrea Vascellari, an Italian musician who provides 3 tracks spreaded out over 15 minutes. He embarks on in melancholic way, singing in Italian, however, slow vibrations and warm harmonies and broad dreams used to ooze out from every chord and slot. Altogether, Vascellari shifts between shoegaze-ish glimpses, dream pop-esque plateaus, lofty singer-songwriter-ism, and of course, compelling slowcore-ish propulsions, which is the most dominating stylistic element he got involved in over there.
