Panoraamne ja maagiline – visuaalselt etem ükstaspuha millisest Hollywood'i filmist.

Käesolev 13-looline on kena žest kadunud USA netimuusika suurusele Jared C. Balogh'ile (09.04.1975 - 01.04.2019). Jared ise on esindatud looga "Self Reflect", mis ühelt poolt on lo-fi'lik Casio Tonebank'il soleerimine, ent mille kulgu hakkab vürtsitama tumemeelne klassikaline muusika. Teine Jared'i lugu on kahasse Protecious'ega. Veel astuvad üles Lezet, The Hauchzart Ensemble, Dayward, Wilfried Hanrath, Saint De L'Abime, WAAS, Daniel Honnold ja Cabrini Green. See on järjekorras teine tribuut legendile, kes näitas inimmajakana, kuidas tuleb teha ja elada. Tema kaja jääb kestma. Sellest hooli(tse)takse.

6KLOP – Naskigo (2018)

  • Modern classical
  • Downtempo

Headeks näitedeks on The Silver Apples ja esiotsa Kraftwerk, Neu! kolmas album, CAN'i "The Lost Tapes". Hiljem toimus selgem polariseerumine. Praegu ollakse algpunktis tagasi. Vähemalt selle albumi kontekstis küll. Siin on asi üsna karikatuursel viisil välja toodud, n-ö luudeni paljaks kistud. Reeglina kinnitavadki.

  • Microtonal
  • Drone
  • Post-industrial
  • Minimalism
  • Avant-garde
  • Ambient drone
  • Experimentalism
  • Abstract

Comment: this album consists of one long-running composition called Wassilij Andrejewitsch Brechunov & Nikita. Dominic Razlaff aka DR's 15-minute track is inspired by the same-titled novel by Lev Tolstoy and the cover print depicts the great Russian writer being illustrated by another outstanding Russian cultural icon Ilya Repin. This is an overcoming composition by providing different functional aspects and different explanations and interpretations. While having listened to it I was reading Stanislav Lem's Solaris and it resonated with the situation while the protagonist Kelvin was falling down towards the surface of the planet Solaris. All you can hear over there it is sonically very monotonous moving emitting eerie and ghastly sentiments as if foretelling something negative is going to happen soon. It can be interpreted as if moving either through a black hole or one is starving in Outer Space because the human being is not expected to come and start dwelling on another populated planet. As one song by the Estonian punk juggernauts J.M.K.E poignantly stated /there are around a plenty of good planets but we are not welcomed to come over there/. One simple punk song can say much more than a sophisticated yet magniloquent philosophical text or discourse or a misleading vision. And it is not going to happen anyway because the human kind is currently in a profound crisis, the conflict between the left-wing and right-wing politicians and intellectuals has obviously never been so intense and hostile as now. One greedy devil is demonised by another and vice versa. In the current situation it is very purgative and transcendental to experience such a black-hued masterpiece as Herr und knecht by the very prolific German ambient producer DR. The strongest point of this release is to transform all those abstract post-industrial inclined drones into sensations where one can perceive warmth, majesty, horror, repulsion and more or less positive or adverse feelings. In this context less is very much. The issue is a part of the discography of Murmure Intemporel.

Comment: it is said that these 42 minutes come out from a pyramidic-machine, which converts electromagnetic signals and cosmic background into an audible spectrum. Subtlety and roughness are represented simultaneously through the compositions. At times it reminds me of a possible post-apocalyptic vision when all is destroyed but there is a new, powerful impulse to come out as soon as possible to embark on a new life. It contains a lot of metallic hisses and rusty noises as if a sign of the subsequences of a defunct civilization set in ruins due to the corrupted initial premises. Indeed, through all this technical debris as a sign of decay you can hear more mellow sounds like slight orchestrations, spatial ambient hovers as a sign of memories of a once existed full-fledged society. It is like a marred interface or circuit bending which does not function correctly. The bent title Imenginations provides an impulse about the tension and artificial wrongdoing between the abovementioned ones. By perceiving this in that way it is quite painful. The 10-notch issue is a part of the discography of Murmure Intemporel.

Comment: these 53 minutes and 4 compositions are “dedicated” to nuclear accidents in the atomic energy plants around the world. More profoundly, at Lucens (1969), Chernobyl (1986), Kyshtym (1957), Three Mile Island (1979), and most recently at Fukushima Daiichi (2011). These are probably the most remarkable ones though smaller accidents may have been happening. Shit happens if people are doing things even if these processes are indispensable because of the mooch of the human induced economy is going to move on without possibility getting to decelerate the process. I do not think of it the nuclear reactors must be shut down just measures to avoid such sort of disasters should be even more enhanced and possible deviations to be foreseen. However, musically I tagged it as an instance of post-industrial music among the other classifications. Furthermore, one can figure it out in a very straight way. The music over there is to depict industrialized scenes being abandoned by human beings. Besides having gotten informed factually and chronologically about these highly clutch and events the audible result is staggering – lots of memory loaded hisses and glitches, arousing sonic effects, concrete music drenched glimpses, metallic drones at times being variegated with orchestrations and less abrasive electronics. These 53 minutes is a subtle play with shades between darkness and lightness, between a burden and redemptive freeing. The adverse effects are adeptly converted into a state of art. The issue is a part of the discography of Murmure Intemporel. Behind the nom de plume is Jean-Luc Hervé Berthelot, a prolific artist within the netlabel scene for many years.

  • Acousmatic music
  • Avant-garde
  • Sound art

  • Dark ambient

Comment: Berthelot`s 12-track issue is a quite peculiar one because each composition on it has been a part of compilations worldwide. Now when it is gathered together it demonstrates different appearances across one pathway. For sure, musically it is an intriguing listening because the form-based composition of glitched-out music, bleak field recording, acousmatic music is variegated with more moody though ill-omened ones running in the form of dark ambient. However, the emotions are predominantly subdued to free place for sheer sonic experiments and effects. In a word, the mission is successfully completed. The issue is a part of the imprint Murmure Intemporel.

Flying Species – The Second Flight (2015)

  • Tekno
  • Psytrance
  • Electronic music
  • Big beat

Comment: my first impression was not affirmative altogether to this 10-track issue because I did not get it – it seemed to be an average, even lacklustre (psy)trance, tekno and big beat tinged assortment. Later on, however, those groovy synths, darker droning undercurrents and pummelling rhythms started to swirl in my head throughout. It needs to get obsessively focused upon that one could notice all those catchy odds and ends which in fact provide additional points and extra value to the whole. Eventually one could admit he/she feels himself/herself as if either having gathered in the middle of a dance floor or searching for a cosy seat in his/her living room. It could be compared with an obscure textbook which one needs to read many times to finally understand it. The coverprint is truly nice. I guess it might be one of the most poppy issues under the experimental imprint Murmure Intemporel.
