Comment: this
batch of 7 compositions is a part of the discography of an imprint
called Smoke with purpose to advertise Japanese music. What else we
know about Japanese music but Japanese noise, space/psychedelic rock
combos and Shibuya-kei, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Pizzicato 5? Indeed,
the Japanese music scene is highly eclectic and synthetic and the
intention to provide a review about it seems to be tautological a
priori. Yet in reality there are up tracks by such artists as
Gamacid707, Yossshy, Dan Kubo, Taura Yorihisa, Daisuke Kawashima,
EZCO, Seaketa. In reality, in a sense, any sort of music review is
not very informative and a bit at odds with the nature of a musical
composition. In other words, chords cannot be fully covered by the
words. Words create their own microsystem. Descriptively, there are
up disparate sonic experiments, from airy vowel and picturesque
ambient touches to artsy noise/glitch drenched electro developments
and catchy Italo disco and Hi-NRG synth-pop/post-disco vibes to
littered concrete music mixed appearances. As I have already hinted
at my comment does not matter, the compilation does.
