Boston'i ansambli 4-looline üllitis 16-minutilise EP raames – koos tollal uue (nais)laulja ja trummariga, et ristida koosseis sisse. Sissesulamine läks õlitatult, kuna tegu on soliidse rokküllitisega, milles on nii rihve, musklit, meloodiaid kui vokaalset ornamentikat ja naiselikku sensuaalsust. Konkreetsemalt meenutab Briti legendit The Sundays, kellele sarnaselt meeldis flirtida kingapõrnitsemismuusikaga, päriselt sinna kuulumata. Aga mõlema bändi varjust kumab esile veelgi legendaarsem suurus – Cocteau Twins. Ei oleks vale seda EP'd nimetada Šoti trio lihtsustatud versiooniks – seda nii pillide käsitlemist kui ka vokaalset lähenemist silmas pidades. Aga see nentimine ei ole etteheide ega punktide mahaarvamine. Viitsiksin seda kuulata igal kolmapäeval. Hea asja üllitas Silber Records.

Pulseerivad müraseinad vallutamas kuulaja kuulmekäike, hinge ja meeleolu. Haarates meelevaldselt kinni albumi avaloo pealkirjast viitab see ilmselt kunstlikule, kätega kokkuklopsitud iseloomule, andes edasi kiht-kihi haaval koostamise taaka. Kuigi jah, olgem ausad, raske on kindlaks määrata käesoleva neljaloolise (tõsi, minu kaustas on viis lugu) albumi algupärast impulssi – kas on tegu determineeritud heliloomingu või lõdvalt komponeeritud teosega. Ilmselt siis mõlemat – võiks eeldada üleval olevast tekstist. Käesoleva albumi kontekstis võib tõdeda, et müramuusika on intrigeeriv fenomen – ühelt poolt vormiliselt primitiivne ja destruktiivne, teisalt jälle tehniliselt meisterlik ja suunitletud. Viimane on oluline esimese aspekti usutavuse väljatoomiseks. Müramuusika agressiivsus on ajalooliselt igati humaanset tähendust omanud – esiisa Luigi Russolo matkis-mõnitas selle läbi sõja(masinate) koledust; destruktiivsust naeruvääristatakse, ning seeläbi lammutatakse. Puhtheliliselt võiks anda sellisele massiivsele helikeelele õigustuse, et looduses kindlasti leidub objekte, mis tekitavad sarnast heli – nt hiiglaslikud kosed Ameerikas ja Aafrikas, vulkaanid ja lumelaviinid. Müramuusika on pealtnäha vaba, ent nähtamatud piirid peituvad selleski. Ühelt poolt piirid ning teisalt nende piiride nähtamatus annavad asu nii seesmise jõule ja tähendusele kui ka petlikule veetlevusele. Popmuusika seevastu kätkeb endast totalitarismi algeid – produktsioonist ja turustusvõtetest kuni enda meeldivaks tegemise meelevaldsuseni. Attenuation Circuit on selle üllitanud.

Pueblo Nuevo-nimelise Tšiili plaadifirma resident konstrueerib ja dekonstrueerib, varieerudes rütme ja manipuleerides sämpleid. Meenuvad kahtlemata Aphex Twin'i heliteosed (milledes on helilist primitivismi ja näputäis provokatiivsust), kuigi heliline palett on märksa avaram – lisaks tehnomuusika pehme- ja kõvatuumale liigutakse kuhugi Mouse On Mars'ile mingitel perioodidel meeltmööda olnud delikaatse krautroki ja postroki puudutuse nimbusesse; liikudes edasi pakutakse kuulajale pealtnäha meelevaldseid helikollaaže vinüülplaadimängijaga manipuleerimisel. Albumi lõpp on konventsionaalsema muusika – haussmuusika päralt (nt "Jajause" on kaunis deep house-sillerdis). "FM10" albumit lõpetava loona loob eelmisega kontrasti - suht madalsageduslik eksperimentaalelektro, mille esiotsa dementset rütmistruktuuri tasakaalustab sensuaalne – et mitte öelda seksuaalne – naishääl; hiljem kompositsioon omandab tavapärasema struktuuri ja vaibi. Kokkuvõtvalt – normaalne moodustis.

Ukraina duo (Igor Yalivec ja Sergey Yagoda) muusika näikse muutuvat iga uue väljalaskega üha hillitsetumaks ja rafineeritumaks (see ei ole siiski faktiväide – ei ole kõiki nende albumeid jõudnud kuulata). Nende esimesed albumid seesuguste plaadifirmade nagu Nocharizma ja Turbinicarpus all olid jämedakoelisemad ja sirgjoonelisemad. Käesolev kahelooline album koosneb kahest loost, mille kogupikkus on 40 minutit. Väike Vanker ja Suur Vanker tähtkujude ning Polaris ereda tähena väärivad uurimist nii füüsiliselt kui ka kaemuslikult. Ning mõtiskleda Avara Ruumi üle ka üldisemalt mikroskoopiliste maiste nääkluste taamal, ja selle vastu. Tundlik modulaarelektroonika loob fooni veelgi tundlikematele kitarriakordidele, mida kõike kokku võttes liigume ka ajas tagasi, nt Ash Ra Tempel'i kosmiliste nägemuste juurde. Kahtlemata sellises žanris opereerimise headuse ja keskpärasuse vaheline piir on õrn, ent õnneks ollakse siin õigel poolel. Kassettvariandina kindlasti.

Käesolev loojapaar lõi kahasse kaks albumit AD 2021. Mõlemad tänuväärse leibeli CS Industrial 1982-2010 all, mis keskendub Tšehhi ja Slovaki eksperimentaalmuusikale, peaasjalikult industriaalmuusikale. Töngates mingil määral vene keelt, ning lähtudes eeldusest, et slaavi keelte loogika ja etümoloogilised tähendused ei ole ajajooksul kuigi muutunud (minu profaanne oletus), võiks arvata, et pealkiri tähendab "Surm Maal". Tõepoolest, kontrollisin järele. Industriaalmuusikaga on siin riive, tugev puude – improviseeritud metallikolkimine, metalsete artefaktidega tekitatud efektid, vaevukuuldavad häälutused; mis ei jää abstraktseks, vaid omandavad tänu pealkirjast tulenevale sisusuunitlusele realistliku tähenduse. Elik järjekordne danse macabre armutult inimhulki harvendamas. Kujutame ette Pieter Brueghel Vanema teost "Surma triumf", mis kahe pika kompositsiooni vältel omandab kuulaja vaimusilmas dünaamika. Näiteks prepareeritud klaveri helid teatud distantsilt ja aeglaselt voogava saksofoni akordid loovad fooni.
