Cagey House - Mostly I Like Everything (2012)
7.5
/Sound collage, Alternative, Art pop, Experimental electronica, Sampledelic/
Comment: I have always had a soft spot toward Dave Keifer`s (mostly known under the pseudonym Cagey House) aesthetics of sublime electronica, buffoonish propulsions, ghostly sample-based approach and somehow otherworldly dimensions oozing out from here and there. This time his brand new one does not have impression upon me this way. Unfortunately. Maybe it is related to his more loose approach to channel all the stuff in a less emotional and obsessive way, however, therefore sounding a little bit sparsely and without having a sense of viable configuration ultimately. Yet, you can find out a little charm and grace from within it nevertheless
The Wiggly Tendrils - Tendrils in Space (2011)
9.4
/Alt-folk, Indie folk, Electronic pop, Indie rock, Conceptual, Folk indie, Psychedelic pop, Singer-songwriter/
Comment: it is said that the Wiggly Tendrils is a group of prolific songwriter-producers. Indeed, there are represented such artists as The Parents, D.E. Healey, Sabertooth Man, Daytime Lights, Rachelintrees, B.T. Nook, T.W. Tendrils, and The Potlucks. They have tagged their music as NASA pop, and space music. Nevertheless, they do not poke fun at classifications. In fact, all these 8 songs are dedicated to the final NASA shuttle flight (Mission STS-135). It does not make difference if these songs are soaked in more or less careless acoustic pop or treated more electronically. It is space pop by any means involving truly crafty songs.

Eurovision Über Alles - The Soundtrack (2012)
9.3
/Harsh noise, Illbient, Spoken word, Cut and paste, Avant-garde, Experimentalism, Non-music, Plunderphonics/
Comment: this set of 3 tracks is a hell-ish whole by EÜA which is namely a side project of the France-based artist Sobria Ebrietas. It contains a shitloads of samples dragged from horror movies and psychological thrillers. Indeed, it is filled in with the dreadful shrieks and crying of victims and supernatural creatures-sided cagy growling and there are up even some incantations made up for Lucifer`s sake (the God of liberty as they do suggest over there). On the other side it is backed up with powerful noise stabs and callous ambient textures. In a word, it sounds like a radiophonic episode to evoke up the listener`s subconsciousness.
