Comment: this batch of 8 quite shorty tracks concerns whimsical electronica which used to change its tonality over the course and providing the shuffling patterns of broken beats whereas the listener can discern manipulations with the rhythm length and deliberate stylistic variations (extending from jungle and brooding downbeat electronica to more brisk electro and pop inclined electronic endeavours and big beat thudding where music is frequently subjected to the algorithms of pitch effect and (other technological appearances) and permanent sampling activities. In a word, the result is intelligent and braw (and, indeed, euphoric at times).
Clavicula - Erosion (2011)

Comment: Clavicula, in general, is a bone locating in the upper part of the body. This is a quite fragile and easily breaking one, especially after falling down frontward from the heights (for instance, if you are riding on a bike or horse). An ensemble, called Clavicula used to be remarkably more powerful in their doings playing masculine, Spanish-sung rock on their 8-track issue. Basically their power comes out of the flirtation with the riffs of hard rock-ish guitars and lighter metal music appearances or being a little keen on the glamorous charm of hair rock at times. Comment: this album was issued on Modicum Of Silence, the recording label which has publicated a lots of releases by artists who are particularly related to State Ohio. It might be the most famous artist appeared under their umbrella is Brothertiger, the chillwave/glo-fi representative. Stylistically there are represented the demarcation of post-metal, experimental/avant-electronica, glo-fi, free folk, innovative post-rock, whimsical indie rock, and conceptual/sound art. However, this set of 7 notches concerns a kind of experimental rock journey which is imbued with spacey, delayed layers of guitar chords and repetitive patterns-loops surrounded by resonating space around it. Sometimes the layers are pronounced by some signal-alike reverberations originating in barges and the analogue synthesis and treatment of electronica, thus approaching rather to the realm of avant/experimental electronic music. In conclusion, it is a spiritual appearance indeed.
