Open Work Stocking - Guanine (2009)

/IDM, Organic electronica, Glo-fi, Glitch ambient, Chillwave, Modern classical, Electronic pop, Poptronica, Crossover/

Comment
: OWS is a producer from Saint Petersbourg/Sankt Peterburg, Russia who fuses IDM, glo-fi/chillwave, glitch ambient, and modern classical-loaded tendencies into an uplifting whole. These 6 compositions used to run along the lush paths and uplifting curves, and on the other side, being melancholic at times. Now and then the ditties chime like the orchestrations which seem to get inspired by the chirps of grasshoppers. Yet, there are a pair of outstanding tracks amongst the pearls. Forgotten Feelings uses an unforgettable motif, and the title song which is an amazingly intense noise-drenched modern classical looming. Feel it, love it!

Etnoscope – Drums From The Dawn Of Time (2010)

Ektoplazm

9.1

/Psytrance, Chilltronica, Tribal, Chill out, Goa trance, Psychedelic electronica, Experimental electronica/

Comment
: these 11 tracks used to interlace psychedelic (electronic) music vibes with thudding (goa) trance rhythms and tribal influences into a floating whole. However, at times it is disturbed with electronic effects and booming high chorded drones. There are some exceptions either - Hidden Track hides in itself amusing "country" music, and Dawn Of Time toys with the frequencies and drones of didgeridoo in heavy way. Or beatific Sunrise exploiting oriental female vowel singing. All in all, it is relaxing and inspiring at the same time by Etnoscope, a Swedish psytrance legend being active since the year of 2000.

Nekrasov & Iversen - SPLIT SERIES #2 (2006)

/Sound-art, Electro-acoustic, Avant-electronica, Noise, Abstract electronica, Microtonal, Experimental electronica/

Comment
: it is a mesmerizing experimental/avant/abstract electronica/sound art split by Moscas Nekrasov, and Jan-M Iversen. The narratives of both musicians consist of the seeds of ragged electronic and micronoise blended plateaus, senseless yet compelling signal throbs, and changing rhythm sequences, all of that is wrapped up by electro-acoustic ambiances. Altogether, the whole is an intricate and intriguing configuration issued on a cult Argentinian label called Planear in 2006. In a word, a classic one which needs to be polished from dust by listeners.

J. Dujardin – This Will Be the Last (2011)

/Post-rock, Shoegaze, Doomgaze, Crossover, Ambient rock, Psychedelic, Experimental rock, Shoegazetronia, Ambient drone/

Comment
: the Belgian musician Jeffrey Dujardin (aka Uitgezondert) provides 11 tracks fringed with breakbeat and big beat-esque rhythm patterns below a little bit gloomy skies which in turn involve shimmering shoegaze and massive post-rock-ish washes, orchestrated hovering, and lone plucking or dropping chords. It is as outstanding by its format as by its content. In a word, it involves warm harmonies, uplifting progressions and blissful aesthetics. The listener can see similarities with the likes of Bardo Pond, Seefeel, Jessamine, Flying Saucer Attack. Hopefully it will not be his last album, though.
